As I toured this opulent $3.5M (1920s dollars), 98-room château located in the heart of Toronto and once owned by Sir Henry Pellatt, military officer and founder of Toronto Electric Light Company, I couldn’t help but think of more meaningful (and charitable) ways to spend this money. This building, as beautiful as it stands, is a constant reminder that wealth does not give one happiness.
